Flower Mountain, a brand inspired by
nature's cycle, is the result of a meeting between two designers, Keisuke Ota
from Japan and Yang Chao from China. The creative people were united by their
passion for shoes, mountain hiking and music. During a trip to a rock festival
on Mount Fuji, the newfound friends developed an idea to create attractive and functional
footwear called Flower Mountain.
In 2015, they partnered with Federica Wang
to form a mountaineering association called Dandelion
and subsequently established Breath
Design co. Ltd Tokyo. That is when they embarked on designing their first
shoe collection.
The project received support from Shoes Bar in Beijing and HPF in Tokyo and sparked public interest
in the new collection. In 2016, the Breath
Design team, together with Shoes Bar
and Italian company Falc S.p.A, took
Flower Mountain to a new international level by creating an extensive distribution
network. The new team is proud to highlight advanced technical and
manufacturing know-how based on Italian traditions.
